The NX1 series modular machine controller provides logic sequence, motion and information functionality. NX1 is joining production and IT worlds, minimizing engineering and maintenance while suppressing middleware.
- IoT Ready: OPC UA server built-in as standard feature, variable structures are supported
- Database direct connection: SQL client for server Microsoft SQL, Oracle, IBM DB2, MySQL, Firebird, PostgreSQL
- Cloud direct connection: MQTT(S) communications are supported using MQTT Communication Library
- Database direct connection in V2.0 is expanded with stored procedure calls and secure communications functionality
- Large memory for data handling. 33.5 MB for variables
- Battery-less controller
- Cycle time: from 1 ms
- Up to 12 axes (8 synchronized motion axes & 4 PTP)
- One unique and synchronized cycle for local & remote I/O, EtherCAT devices and motion control
- Multi-tasking controller
- Expanded network connectivity, 2x Ethernet ports + 1 EtherCAT
- Up to 32 local NX units, including Safety and IO-Link master
- Support up to 64 EtherCAT nodes (400xNX units)
- EtherCAT Ring topology is supported to maintain communications and control in case of a broken cable or device failure

What is stored procedure?
Stored procedure is one of the database functions. A group of SQL statements is stored in a database, enabling complex processing to be executed with one call. The Stored Procedure Call function to call stored procedure in a database from the controller has been added to version 2.0.

Automatic generation of tables from structures and vice versa
A database table can be automatically generated from a structure, and a structure can be automatically generated from a database table. Mapping time can be reduced.*1

Direct Access to Cloud
Quick and secure data collection
Collect real-time data with minimal cost, without the need for any gateway device. The use of the MQTT Communications Library enables direct connection between a controller and cloud. This eliminates the need for a gateway PC or relay device, reducing system building time and design and operating costs. Data relay processing is also not required, which allows you to create a real-time data collection system.
Secure production data with encrypted MQTT communications
An encrypted MQTT protocol (MQTTS) protects production data from access and manipulation by unauthorized persons.
Significantly cut the time required to develop communication programs with MQTT Function Blocks
The Function Blocks (FBs) perform the required processing for MQTT communications*1. You don’t need to program complex MQTT communication protocols from scratch, greatly reducing programming and debugging time.
