Marks and certifications for sensors used in Food, Beverage and Pharmaceutical applications

For the production of food, beverages and pharmaceuticals there are strict legal requirements to be observed as well as established manufacturing practices and in-house requirements.
For industrial equipment sold into these applications today a number of marks, certifications and references are used:
  • to indicate compliance to actual legal requirements,
  • to indicate achievement of defined performance levels,
  • or simply for marketing purposes.
As every mark and certification means extra cost that is added to the product cost, we at Omron strive to take the best course balancing the support for mandatory and useful certifications but on the other hand it is our commitment to avoid generating extra cost for our customers for certificates that have no legal or limited practical use.
